*Faint vibrations*

I peeled my eyes open, not much of a difference in the pitch black room. Reached out for my vibrating phone alarm, and its light abruptly pierced through the peaceful shield of darkness, revealing a small, cosy, double-deckered room. 6 am, just in time to see the sun rise on the dutch border. Kicking myself out of bed, and carefully down the from the upper decker, I stole a glance at Samuel who was still soundly asleep, before grabbing my bathing kit for a refreshing morning shower.

The toilet was of resplendent pristine cleanliness, and the warm water was the most comforting of all from the impression I had of most cruises. The image of dirty toilets and freezing cold waters was flushed out from my mind since yesterday when we checked into our room onboard Stenaline cruise. Squeezing the Singaporean Elseve Shampoo onto my palm, I wished the pseudo jacuzzi would carry on perpetually...

But it shouldn't, because there were better things to expect. As the hours passed, we would soon be in Amsterdam.

I was not alone on the Stenaline Cruise deck, there were a handful of morning-bird-tourists who managed to defeat the snooze button, enjoying the sea breeze, whilst watching wind turbines passed by on the sides of the Dutch beachheads. It was exhilarating. I missed the sunrise unfortunately, but still, I was dumbstruck by the fact that here I am, standing on a cruise deck, 7 hours away from home, with 9 brothers, and nothing less to expect other than the thrill of living in a foreign land. My thoughts were broken by the cries of seagulls, and I looked up and saw a trio of them in a triangular formation, hovering above the ship.

We are close by.

Jumped down the stairs back to my room to find Samuel awake, and I beckoned him to enjoy the unfamiliar outsides with me, and of course, take a few pictures. Our mini camwhore session ended when we heard the announcements that disembarkation would commence soon, prompting us to hurry and check the status of the other 8.

A piercing horn reverberated through the ship.

Amsterdam here we come.
